what our patients are saying:

"I am a new BK amputee and I have been in awe over my experience at Winkley. Andy has spent time in educating me every step in this process, talking about options, and answering our many questions. I think he was almost as excited as I was for my first steps, which shows the quality and heart in your employees. Every other person thinks they are the most important client...but I am pretty sure I think it is me :), at least that is how I am treated. Thanks Andy and Winkley!"

Albert Winkley

Founder - Inventor 1888 - 1892 Albert Winkley had a revolutionary idea when he invented the Slip Socket prosthesis. It changed the way artificial limb makers approached their craft and set a new standard of comfort for the times. In the early days, all parts were hand made by the shop workers. The joints, feet and leather parts were all made on site. We owned tree farms to grow willow trees that provided the raw material for limb fabrication.
